About
My name is Amit Kumar Jena, pursuing Ph.D in Ocean engineering at IIT Bombay. I have completed M.Tech in Remote sensing and GIS with specialization in Marine and Atmospheric Sciences at the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing(IIRS), ISRO.
My Ph.D work is on comprehensive numerical simulation-based reanalysis of all the tropical cyclones of the north Indian Ocean carried out using a regionally-parameterized ocean-atmospheric-wave coupled model. This can provide a new avenue to bridge a research gap in the studies on TC intensification.
Other interests- Climate change, catastrophic events study, physical oceanography, marine biogeochemistry, ocean remote sensing & GIS
