About
My name is Dr. Shanmathi Subramanian, a final year MBBS student at Government Medical College, Omandurar, with aspirations to become a General Surgeon in the near future.
Reflecting on my journey, I remember starting with little knowledge of the 'R' in research just last year. However, through dedication and perseverance, I've grown exponentially and am committed to continuous learning in the future. Today, I proudly stand as a principal investigator in four diverse projects. Each project has been a stepping stone, teaching me invaluable lessons along the way, shaping me into a more proficient researcher.
My passion for research has taken me to numerous national and international conferences, where I've had the privilege to present my findings and receive accolades for my work. Additionaly, I've actively sought out opportunities to enhance my skills through workshops focused on research methodologies, statistics, and scientific writing.
Looking ahead, my vision extends beyond personal ambitions. I envision a future where health disparities are nonexistent, where equitable healthcare is accessible to all. It's a future I'm committed to shaping, one step at a time.
