Goutam Dinda is a Research Scholar [PhD] in the Department of Library and Information Science at Rabindra Bharati University, West Bengal, India. His academic journey brings together Library and Information Science, History, Education, and interdisciplinary research, reflecting a broad scholarly perspective on knowledge, information, and society.

He holds an M.Lib.I.Sc. and B.Lib.I.Sc. from Rabindra Bharati University and M.A. in History from the University of Calcutta, a B.Ed. from WBUTTEPA, and a B.A. (Honours) in History from Contai P. K. College, affiliated with Vidyasagar University.

His research interests encompass Research Metrics and Library Classification, Library Management, Library Management Software, Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), and Academic Libraries. His scholarly interests particularly focus on understanding the evolving relationship between information, technology, research evaluation, knowledge systems, and academic institutions.

With an interdisciplinary academic orientation, his work seeks to contribute to the development, evaluation, and transformation of library and information services in the digital and knowledge-driven era.
