About
My research interests span materials science, condensed matter physics, nonlinear optics, nanotechnology, and biomedical
engineering, with a focus on developing advanced functional materials for photonic and healthcare applications. During
my PhD in Physics, I specialized in crystal growth and nonlinear optical (NLO) materials, where I synthesized and
characterized high-quality single crystals for photonic applications. My research involved investigating their structural,
optical, thermal, dielectric, mechanical, and nonlinear optical properties to establish structure–property relationships
from both theoretic (DFT) and experimental studies and evaluate their potential for optoelectronic and laser-based
technologies. In addition to crystal growth, I explored electrospinning techniques to fabricate polymeric nanofibers and
nanocomposites, gaining expertise in nanofiber fabrication, materials processing, and advanced characterization methods.
Building upon this strong foundation, my current research focuses on the development of multifunctional electrospun
nanofibers for controlled drug delivery and tissue engineering applications. I am currently working on developing
stimuli-responsive piezoelectric coaxial electrospun nanofibers for tissue engineering application. My work includes
optimizing electrospinning parameters, fabricating core-shell and hollow nanofibers, and comprehensively characterizing
their morphology, structure, mechanical properties, piezoelectric performance, and biological studies using different
studies.
