About

I am working as an Assistant Professor and an active researcher at NIT Durgapur, India. My research integrates geological field investigation, petrology, mineralogy, geochemistry, and spatially resolved in-situ geochronology to unravel the complex crustal processes with special emphasis on ore genesis. I use the geochemistry of accessory minerals (monazite, xenotime, and uraninite) as proxies pertinent to the geochemical ambiance of Ore deposits. I am equally interested in studies related to radiation-induced effects in host silicates surrounding radioactive inclusions and associated fluid-mediated alteration vis-à-vis element mobilization and redistribution. His current research focuses to understand the genesis of the Base metal deposits of Northwestern India.
