About
I am currently working under the supervision of Dr. Hana Polasek-Sedlackova on projects focused on DNA replication and genome stability. My primary research interests include genome stability and instability mechanisms, chromosomal segregation, homologous recombination, cancer genetics, cell cycle regulation, and the molecular basis of human diseases and disorders. I completed my Master’s thesis in the Recombination and Genome Stability Laboratory under the guidance of Prof. Nishant K. T. at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Thiruvananthapuram, where I investigated molecular mechanisms underlying recombination and genome maintenance. Additionally, I undertook a minor research project in the Biomedical Instrumentation and Imaging Laboratory and Drosophila Research in Energy and Metabolism Group under Dr. Suhesh Kumar Singh and Dr. Jishy Varghese, focusing on imaging-based approaches and metabolic studies using Drosophila as a model organism. I possess hands-on experience in genomics, molecular biology, and microscopy-based techniques, as well as in the use of model organisms for studying fundamental biological processes.del organisms.
