About
I am Dr. Romi Dhakad, currently an Institute Postdoctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. I received my Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in 2025 and previously served as a Senior Project Scientist at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
My research focuses on vibration and shock isolation, metamaterial-based engineering systems, nonlinear modeling of elastomers, computational mechanics, and vibration and shock testing. I have experience in analytical modeling, finite element simulations using ABAQUS, optimization techniques, and the application of neural networks for material parameter identification and experimental validation. My work aims to develop advanced isolation platforms for defense, naval, and industrial applications.
