About

I am currently serving as an Associate Professor at the School of Liberal Arts, IILM University, Greater Noida, specializing in psychology through teaching, research, and consultancy. Previously, I have contributed to esteemed institutions such as Amity University Haryana, Amity University Jaipur, and Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. I earned my Ph.D. in Applied Psychology from the University of Calcutta in 2011 and was honored with Junior and Senior Research Fellowships at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, from 2006 to 2011.

Beyond teaching, I actively engage in curriculum development and serve on advisory committees focused on students’ psychological and career counseling. I have been invited to deliver keynote addresses at prestigious platforms, including Freie University, Berlin, as well as Fortis Hospital and Tech Mahindra. Additionally, I am a certified art therapist and hypnotherapy practitioner, passionately advocating for inclusive education. My efforts in this domain were recognized with the Microsoft Innovative Educator and Inclusive Educator Awards in 2021.

A strong believer in community engagement, I have worked extensively with higher education students to implement meaningful outreach programs in schools for the underprivileged promoting art-integrated early literacy and social-emotional learning among school children and educators. My research interests include children's and women's well-being, mental health, and addiction studies.
