About
I am a Battery Scientist & Materials Engineer specializing in next-generation lithium-ion batteries and sustainable energy storage solutions. My career began in the steel and mining sector, where I worked as a consultant on process optimization, raw material evaluation, and industrial operations.
For the past 5+ years, I have focused on Li-ion battery research and development, gaining expertise in cathode material development, electrode design, advanced cell testing, and degradation analysis. During my internship at Tesla, I contributed to the scale-up of LFP cathode materials, working on pilot-to-production transitions and large-scale manufacturing challenges.
I am now completing my PhD in Li-ion batteries under Prof. Jeff Dahn at Dalhousie University, where my research focuses on developing cheaper and sustainable cathode materials such as LMO and NMC and improving their lifetime through various doping and coating approaches. This work, done in close collaboration with industry partners, bridges fundamental science and real-world application.
Key strengths include:
• Cathode scale-up & process engineering (pilot to industrial level)
• Battery R&D (materials synthesis, cycling, degradation)
• Advanced materials characterization (XRD, XPS, SEM, TEM, ICP-OES)
• Mining & metals consulting (resource strategy, process optimization, technical reporting)
• Cross-functional collaboration
I am passionate about advancing energy storage innovation, sustainable materials, and clean energy technologies.
