Sumit is working on a project combining theory, computation and experiments to uncover heterogeneity in differentiating embryonic cell populations. He completed his Master's thesis from the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden, Germany, and undergraduate studies from IISER Kolkata, India.
