About
I am a researcher specializing in Applied Phycology with a focus on wastewater treatment using marine microalgae. I completed my Master’s in Botany from Visva-Bharati, specializing in Applied Phycology, and my dissertation explored microalgal diversity and physicochemical parameters of ponds in Santiniketan. Currently, I am working at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology on producing selenium and fatty acid-enriched microalgae from wastewater as sustainable aquaculture feed. My research interests span Environment & Ecosystems, Nanoparticles, Biodiversity & Wildlife, Climate Change, Pollution, and Phycoremediation. I have published work on sustainable agriculture and submitted papers on topics including nanoparticle biosynthesis, water disinfection, and microplastics' impact on aquatic ecosystems.
