About
Ashish Verma is currently working as senior researcher in Dolby Laboratories. He completed his Ph.D. in 2024 from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, where he joined as a Ph.D. research scholar in 2016 under the supervision of Prof. Debashis Sen. Prior to this, he received an M.Tech. degree in Communication Systems from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Patna and a B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from SSEC Bhilai (CSVTU).
His research interests include computer vision and deep learning, and some of his works are on developing frameworks to model and leverage human visual scanpaths for the dynamic analysis of still images. He is also interested in learning-based approaches for action recognition in still images and medical image analysis.
