About
From the beginning of my career I have been working with satellite technologies for the environment, disaster management and agriculture to put digi-tech at the service of people. I held various trainings in Kenya to local staff on flood management, drought and other humanitarian catastrophes. During my studies on Land Surface Temperature I also focussed on the thermal properties of vegetation and the nexus between water, temperature and soil.
Lately I engaged also in the following:
• sustainable Carbon solutions (https://www.cropin.com/blogs/zero-carbon-farms)
• local Smart Agri-insurance schemes based on remote sensing data for farmers in Kenya (watch video https://vimeo.com/482149396 )
Out of English, I speak German (I lived in Bonn 5 years), Italian and I manage some Swahili and French.
