About

I am a Bangladeshi plant molecular biologist and PhD Research Fellow at Gauhati University, India. I am a recipient of the prestigious ICCR International Doctoral Fellowship awarded by the Government of India. My research focuses on plant nutrient-use efficiency, stress physiology, and the systems-level regulation of metabolic and transcriptional networks in crops. My work integrates plant physiology, molecular biology, transcriptomics, and computational systems biology to investigate how nutrient availability- particularly nitrogen regulates metabolic homeostasis, growth, and stress adaptation in rice (Oryza sativa L.). Using integrative approaches including RNA sequencing, physiological phenotyping, molecular assays, and bioinformatic analyses, I examine the coordination between gene expression, metabolic pathways, and crop performance under diverse nutrient environments. I have published research in several international peer-reviewed journals, including Plant Communications, Plant Science, Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, Journal of Plant Growth Regulation, Critical Reviews in Plant Sciences, Plant, Cell & Environment, and Physiologia Plantarum. My long-term research vision is to advance climate-resilient and resource-efficient agriculture through integrative plant biology, systems physiology, and multi-omics-driven crop improvement.
