About

Dr. Sayandeep K. Das, MBBS, MD (Pathology), is a Senior Resident & Consultant Pathologist in the Department of Pathology at BLDE (Deemed to be University), Shri B. M. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Vijayapura, Karnataka, India. His academic and translational research encompasses diagnostic pathology, hematopathology, molecular pathology, precision oncology, clinical laboratory medicine, biomarker research, and the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in pathology. His broader interests include explainable and multimodal diagnostic models, systems biology, molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulations, and the responsible integration of computational tools into clinical practice.

He received the Dr. A. G. Dutta Memorial Young Scientist Gold Medal Award 2023 from The Physiological Society of India. In 2026, he won the KCIAPM Award Paper at KAPCON 2026, held at JSS Medical College, Mysuru, for his work titled “BRCA1/2 Transcript Downregulation in Prostate Carcinoma and Its Mechanistic Link to the AR–KLK Axis: An Integrated qPCR, Systems-Biology and Molecular-Dynamics Study.”

Dr. Das also contributes actively to scholarly publishing as an ad hoc peer reviewer for Frontiers in Nutrition, Frontiers in Fungal Biology, Frontiers in Public Health, Frontiers in Molecular Biosciences, Cureus Journal of Medical Sciences, the European Journal of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases, and journals published by MDPI and JMIR. His work is directed toward connecting conventional morphology with molecular diagnostics, computational biology, and responsible artificial intelligence to develop clinically meaningful and accessible diagnostic solutions.
