About
I am a Clinical Biotechnologist and Assistant Professor of Biotechnology at Priyadarshini College of Engineering, RTMNU, Nagpur (IN). I earned my doctorate in Clinical Biotechnology from DMIHER (DU), Wardha (IN) in 2024, with research focused on nanoencapsulated herbal therapeutics for silica-induced lung fibrosis.
With over five years of research experience as an ICMR Senior Research Fellow and CMPDI Junior Research Fellow, my work centres on nano-drug development, occupational lung diseases (silicosis and coal workers’ pneumoconiosis), pulmonary fibrosis, immunotoxicology, and biomarker discovery. I have expertise in preclinical in vivo–in vitro models, toxicological and pharmacological assays, nanoformulation characterization, and proteomic analysis.
I have published several research articles (including Q1 and Q2 journals), 4 book chapters (Springer Nature, CRC Press), and hold granted Indian patents/designs. I serve as a reviewer for international journals and have delivered invited lectures on nanotherapeutics for silicosis. My research vision focuses on translating nanomedicine into effective diagnostics and therapies for occupational lung diseases.
