About

Dhruv Sharma, MS is currently the Data Analyst/Scientist/Architect at the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). He currently leads the Emergency Medicine Data Institute’s data science projects, performing big data analytics for all data science grants, contracts and requests to ACEP’s national data registry. His other focuses at ACEP include the development and maintenance of Quality Measures, data analytics for Emergency Quality Network and Quality Measures, development and authoring of Business Process Models for ACEP policies & development of Continuing Medical Education, and data analytics work to numerous other data science grants at ACEP.

Prior to ACEP, Mr. Sharma obtained multidisciplinary experience through basic science research, statistical analyses, data science & healthcare. His basic science experience includes projects in clinical research with PTSD patients and virtual simulation treatment paradigms, animal behavior research in learned behavior tasks and attention/vigilance tasks, & GABAergic research in basal ganglia pathways, optogenetic electrophysiology, and computational experimentation. He has also developed and maintained board statistical and computational experiences including scientific analysis for research projects using Excel, MatLab, Mathematica, R, SQL, Python, PyS. His health care experience includes working as a CNA in high school, making decisions integral to patient diagnoses and treatments at Hahnemann University Hospital, and international surgical experience as a student-intern at SSG Hospital in India. In addition to his broad experiences, he has gained proficiency in communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
