About

I am an engineering consultant with nearly two decades of experience in water resources modeling. I have developed a wide range of watershed and receiving water models across the U.S. to simulate water quality, hydrology, and hydrodynamics. These models have supported Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs), watershed management plans, and National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permitting. I also create models to assess the impacts of climate change on floods and droughts, infrastructure resiliency, water availability, and water security.

I have developed programs to seamlessly integrate multiple water resources models and contributed to the development of Better Assessment Science Integrating point and Nonpoint Sources (BASINS), a primary watershed model development platform supported by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA). I also developed HSPEXP+, an enhanced expert system for hydrology and water quality modeling with HSPF, which is used by professionals in government agencies, consulting firms, and universities.

I provide technical training on BASINS, Hydrologic Simulation Program–Fortran (HSPF), and EFDC+ Explorer Modeling System (EEMS) to professionals and students around the United States, including online lessons. I have authored and contributed to multiple technical documents including the development of engineering practices for hydrologic and water quality modeling published by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE).

I am committed to advancing best practices in water resources modeling and supporting clients in achieving resilient, sustainable solutions.
