About

I am Dr. V. Mallikarjuna Naik Vadithe, an Economist, Researcher, and Development Professional with a strong commitment to advancing inclusive and sustainable development. I am currently serving as an ICSSR Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS), Hyderabad. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from Andhra University and possess multidisciplinary academic qualifications in Economics, Rural Development, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Applications, and Journalism. My research interests include Tribal Development, Tribal Education, Financial Inclusion, FinTech, Public Finance, Public Policy, Climate Resilience, Rural Livelihoods, and Sustainable Development. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in socio-economic research, policy evaluation, impact assessment, village development planning, monitoring and evaluation, and large-scale field surveys across tribal and rural regions of India.

I have worked with reputed institutions such as CESS and the Institute for Tribal Development Studies (ITDS), contributing to research projects funded by government agencies and national institutions. I have authored research papers, policy reports, books, academic lessons, and conference papers, focusing on evidence-based solutions for tribal welfare, educational advancement, financial inclusion, and rural transformation. My professional goal is to bridge research, policy, and practice to promote equitable development, strengthen tribal communities, and contribute to sustainable and inclusive growth through academic excellence and public engagement.
