About
I hold an MSc in Thermal Engineering from Adama Science and Technology University and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Mattu University, where I graduated as a Gold Medalist. Thiscombination gives me a strong foundation in mechanical systems, solid mechanics, and structural dynamics, alongside deepspecialization in heat transfer, energy conversion, and thermal-fluid sciences. I am currently contributing to Ethiopia's space and geospatial advancement at the Ethiopia Space Science and Geospatial Institute, where my work on rocket and UAV propulsion involves thermo-mechanical analysis, finite element modelling, and coupled thermal-structural simulations using ANSYS and COMSOL. My published research spans PCM-based thermal energy storage, nanofluid heat transfer enhancement, machine learning–driven optimization of thermal systems, battery thermal management, solar-powered desalination, gasifier stoves, hybrid greenhouse solar dryers, digital twin–driven design for spacecraft tribology, and multi-response optimization of manufacturing processes. I have also contributed a book chapter on nanoparticles for denture resins and conducted drone‑based deep learning inspection of wind turbine blades. As a former lecturer at Mattu University from 2018 to 2025, I achieved a 90 to 95 percent student success rate, mentored future engineers, and led community biofuel projects. My technical skills include ANSYS, COMSOL, MATLAB, Python, and CAD tools. My research interests focus on thermal energy storage, Phase Changing Material (PCM), lightweight multifunctional composites, renewable energy integration, machine learning–optimized energy systems, and scalable cleanenergy solutions for developing regions, aligned with SDG 7 and SDG 13.
