ANKITA NEGI

About

I completed my Bachelor's degree in Forestry from a reputed institution, where I developed a deep understanding of ecological systems and their intricate relationships. Driven by my passion for agricultural sustainability, I pursued my Post-Graduation, earning a Master's degree in Agriculture with a specialization in Agrometeorology. This program equipped me with advanced knowledge and skills to analyze the impact of weather patterns on crop yields, utilizing simulating models for accurate forecasting.

I currently serve as a Subject Matter Specialist (Agrometeorology) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh. In this role, I play a vital role in disseminating crucial information to farmers and policymakers regarding climate change and its potential effects on agricultural practices. I actively contributes to the development of strategies and interventions to mitigate climate risks and enhance agricultural productivity.

My research interests are centered around understanding the dynamics of agricultural productivity in the face of climate change. I use my expertise in agrometeorology to investigate the effects of changing weather patterns on crop growth, yield, and overall agricultural sustainability. My work involves employing simulating models and statistical analyses to develop accurate and reliable forecasting systems, assisting farmers in making informed decisions and optimizing resource allocation.

In addition to my research endeavors, I actively engage in collaborative initiatives with fellow scientists and agricultural organizations. I believe in the power of interdisciplinary collaborations and knowledge sharing to address the complex challenges posed by climate change in agriculture.
