Ishani Sharma

About

Ishani Sharma is a Foundation Year 2 Doctor in the UK and a graduate of Imperial College London, where she also completed an intercalated BSc in Global Health. She currently serves as an Honorary Research Officer with the Imperial WHO Collaborating Centre for Public Health Education and Training. Her academic and professional interests lie in infectious diseases and global public health, with a particular commitment to advancing equitable access to healthcare.
During her final year of medical training, Ishani undertook a two-month placement with the incredible clinical and research teams at the Infectious Diseases Institute Kampala in Uganda. This experience provided valuable exposure to HIV care delivery within a different healthcare system and strengthened her perspective on global health collaboration - an area which she hopes to explore further in her career moving forward.
