About

Dr. Abhijit Dutta is an ICSSR research Scholar from the Institute of Public Enterprises, Hyderabad and had worked on Privatisation of SLPES in Orissa for his doctoral dissertation. He completed his Mater in Commerce from Utkal University and PGDBM from Symbiosis Pune. He was awarded the Ph.D from the Utkal University, Odisha in the year 1997. He was awarded the D.lit in Management from Sambalpur University in Management in the year 2018. He has taught at several Business school in India including IISWBM, KSOM, AMITY Business School and ICFAI Business School. He is represented in the Academic Council of Several Universities and the member of the Governing Board of Government and Private Collages. He has published in International and National Journal which included Vikalpa, Vilakshan, Chartered Accountant, Chartered Secretary, Labour and Management Review, Journal of IPE to name a few. He is represented in several Journal of the University Departments and other UGC Care listed Journal, besides being the evaluator and cross-referee of the Journals in Scopus, Elsevier, Emerald, Web of Science and Sage publisher. He has published extensively in Taylor and Francis, Elsevier and Routledge. He has published twelve text books and research books in area of Finance, Commerce and Ethics. His research interest includes Capital Market, Public Policy, Behavioral Finance, Infrastructure and Public Enterprise and economic policy. He is life member of Indian Social Science Congress, Indian Commerce Association. Orissa Commerce Association and Indian Accounting Association. He worked as an advisor to the 15th Finance Commission, GOI. He has two patents to his credit of which one is from India and the other from Australia. He worked as a Dean School of Professional Studies and Professor in Sikkim University, Gangtok, In the Department of Commerce and was a member of the Executive council of the University. He was the Vice Chancellor (officiating) of Sikkim University from 14th of May till July 11th 2025.
