Kartikesh Sahu is a PhD Scholar at the GITAM School of Pharmacy, GITAM (Deemed to be University), Visakhapatnam, specializing in Pharmaceutics. His research focuses on the intersection of advanced nanotechnology and clinical applications, with a primary emphasis on developing targeted drug delivery systems for Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), such as Leishmaniasis, and metabolic disorders. With a professional foundation as an Assistant Professor at the Roland Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (RIPS), Kartikesh integrates academic rigor with innovative problem-solving. His technical expertise includes the formulation of polymeric and solid lipid nanoparticles and the development of sophisticated bioanalytical methods using LC-MS/MS and RP-HPLC. He is an active contributor to the pharmaceutical sciences; he holds two Indian and a UK patent for innovative pharmaceutical devices and concepts and serves as a peer reviewer for Springer Nature journals. His mission is to modernize natural product-based nanomedicines to improve therapeutic outcomes and patient compliance.
