Mr. ROHIT KUMAR MAURYA
Pt. Prithi Nath (PG) College Kanpur, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Banaras Hindu University
About
I am an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry at Pt. Prithi Nath (P.G.) College, Kanpur, affiliated with Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, where I have been serving since June 2022. I completed my M.Sc. in Chemistry from IIT Kanpur in 2018 and subsequently joined the research group of Prof. Debabrata Goswami at IIT Kanpur as a Ph.D. scholar.
My research interests lie in nonlinear optics, with a particular focus on light–matter interactions using ultrashort femtosecond laser pulses. My work involves investigating thermal lens formation in highly absorbing samples and studying molecular interactions in binary solvent mixtures. My broader academic interests include ultrafast laser spectroscopy and nonlinear optical phenomena.
