About
I am a geotechnical engineer with advanced expertise in computational geomechanics, specializing in the modeling and
optimization of reinforced soil systems under static, cyclic, and seismic loading. Using PLAXIS 3D, ABAQUS, and
SEEP/W, I simulate complex phenomena such as soil–structure interaction, flow-coupled deformation, and ground
improvement performance in soft and saturated soils. My research includes extensive work on geosynthetic-encased
stone columns, particularly dual-layer configurations, supported by parametric analysis and numerical validation.
In addition to ground improvement, I have contributed to broader areas such as foundation engineering, expansive
soil behavior, embankment stability, and transport infrastructure subjected to dynamic loading. A key focus of my
work is on sustainable geotechnics, incorporating rubberized fillers and recycled demolition aggregates to enhance
material performance and reduce environmental impact. Currently, I am integrating machine learning techniques
into geotechnical modeling to enable predictive design and performance assessment.
Key Areas of Expertise:
• Finite element modeling (PLAXIS 3D, ABAQUS) for soil–structure systems
• Flow-coupled deformation and consolidation in saturated soils
• Seismic and cyclic response of reinforced foundations
• Ground improvement using geosynthetics and recycled materials
• AI-driven prediction of settlement and stiffness evolution
• Applications in foundations, expansive soils, embankments, and transport infrastructure
