Partha Pratim Gogoi is a chemist and computational researcher currently pursuing his doctoral studies as a Ph.D. Research Scholar in the Department of Chemistry at Nagaland University, a role he has held since September 2022. He holds a strong foundation in chemical sciences, having earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from North Lakhimpur College, Assam, in 2019, followed by a Master of Science in Chemistry from Manipur University, Imphal, in 2021.
Gogoi’s research operates at the nexus of synthetic organic chemistry, computational chemistry, cheminformatics, and computer-aided drug design. His primary academic focus centers on accelerating therapeutic discovery through integrated in silico and in vitro methodologies. A core theme of his work involves utilizing advanced molecular modeling, molecular docking—spanning classical protocols to emerging machine-learning paradigms—and molecular dynamics simulations to predict pharmacological efficacy, ADMET profiles, and binding mechanisms for novel small-molecule candidates.
Throughout his doctoral tenure, Gogoi has contributed extensively to peer-reviewed literature across leading multidisciplinary and medicinal chemistry journals, including RSC Advances, Computers in Biology and Medicine, Mini-Reviews in Medicinal Chemistry, and Current Topics in Medicinal Chemistry. His investigations frequently explore bioactive scaffolds such as chalcone derivatives, isothiocyanates, and halogenated gentisyl alcohol variants for diverse pharmacological applications, including antibacterial, antifungal, anticancer, and antioxidant therapies.
