About
Dr. Bushra Parveen is an Assistant Professor of Physics at Rawalpindi Women University, Pakistan, and an HEC-approved PhD Supervisor. She earned her PhD in Physics from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, focusing on transition-metal-doped semiconductors for spintronic and optical applications, and completed part of her research at Nanjing University, China. With over 12 years of teaching, research, and administrative experience at leading institutions including Lahore Garrison University, Queen Mary College, and Kinnaird College, she has also served as Head of the Department of Physics at LGU.
Her research interests include semiconductor physics, diluted magnetic semiconductors, optical and magnetic sensors, and electrochemical energy storage devices. She has published extensively in reputed international journals and supervised various research students.
Dr. Parveen is a recipient of multiple honors, including the HEC-NRPU Research Grant (2022–2024), international research support funding for her work in China, performance awards, and academic distinctions such as Gold Medals and a Talent Award. She is also a permanent member of the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD).
