About
Md. Emdadul Islam is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Information Sciences, Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU), Bangladesh. He has over seven years of experience in research and academia. He earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Information Science and Library Management from the University of Dhaka, graduating with outstanding results. He was awarded the prestigious ‘Dean’s Merit List of Honor’ for scholastic accomplishments, having obtained the Master's degree with 1st position. He achieved multiple scholarships, including the Department Merit Scholarship, Hall Merit Scholarship, Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation Scholarship, Dutch Bangla Bank Scholarship, EBL-DUAA Scholarship, and Board Scholarship for his academic excellence.
Mr. Islam has published many scholarly articles in international journals and actively supervises research students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is a regular reviewer for many journals. His research interests span Digital Literacy, AI Literacy, Information Literacy, Information Retrieval, Digital Libraries, Digital Humanities, Human-AI Interaction, Data Analytics, Social Networking Analytics, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Science Studies, Science & Technology Studies, Scholarly and Scientific Communication, and Academic Publishing. . He also contributes to the academic community through participation in professional bodies such as ASIS&T, IASL, LAB, and BALID. His work focuses on bridging technology and research to advance information sciences in higher education.
