Mebin Wilson Thomas is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Forensic Science, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bangalore, with over 11 years of teaching and research experience. He is pursuing Ph.D. in Forensic Science from JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bangalore, aimed at integrating Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning into the field of Forensic Science and Psychology. Being a Statistician, he is an expert in Chemometrics analysis, providing consultancy in Forensic Statistical Analysis, Spectral Data Analysis, and Crime Mapping. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner accredited by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, USA (ACFE), and Certified in Crime Analysis by the International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA), USA. He serves as a reviewer for top publishers like Springer Nature, Sage, and Elsevier. He also served as visiting faculty in Forensic Psychology at Kerala Police Academy, Thrissur. He has completed a Bachelor’s in Triple Major Psychology, Physiology, and Statistics and Master’s in Criminology and Forensic Science from the University of Madras and completed training in Crime Scene Investigation, Forensic Ballistics, Fingerprints and Questioned Document Examination, and Forensic Psychology from the Directorate of Forensic Science, Gujarat. He worked in the Directorate of Forensic Science, Gujarat, as a Scientific Officer in Forensic Ballistics, Questioned Documents, and Forensic Psychology Division. He is constantly involved in publishing research articles in SCOPUS/WEB OF SCIENCE journals despite contributing research papers to International and National conferences. To date, he holds 15 SCOPUS publications in his name. He is currently engaged in integrating Psychology with Machine Learning and Deep Learning and promoting the filing of patents in Forensic Psychology. To date, he has bagged 4 Patents in his name. He has been invited to be the resource person for over 120+ workshops and training programs organized by police academies, law colleges, and universities across India. He was also recognized as an International Affiliate in Forensic Psychology by the American Psychological Association (APA). He also serves as a lifetime member of the International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA), American Psychology-Law Society (APLS), Society for Military Psychology, and Society for Behavioural Neuroscience. He is currently serving as the Board of Studies Member for the Forensic Science, Digital, and Cyber Forensics courses at different private and government universities in India.
