About

I was born in 1986 in the culturally rich district of Belagavi, Karnataka. My early education began in the town of Hukkeri, where I completed both my primary and secondary schooling. Motivated by a keen interest in the sciences, I pursued my Pre-University Course (PUC) at the prestigious Gogte College in Belagavi.

For my undergraduate studies, I chose to specialize in Genetics and Microbiology and enrolled at the renowned Karnataka Science College, Dharwad — an institution with over a century of academic legacy. I successfully completed my B.Sc. with distinction, securing the 3rd rank in the department.

Driven by a deeper passion for human genetics, I pursued my M.Sc. in Applied/Human Genetics at the esteemed Karnatak University, Dharwad, where I achieved 2nd rank in the program. Following this, I was selected for a prestigious training opportunity at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, where I worked under Dr. Annapurni Rangarajan in the Department of Molecular Biology. This experience further honed my research skills and deepened my commitment to the field of genetics.

After completing my training, I joined a Karnataka State Government project at the Research Centre for DNA Diagnostics, where I worked as both Junior and Senior Research Fellow (JRF/SRF). This role offered me a platform to contribute to advancements in molecular diagnostics and public health.

In 2015, I began a new chapter in my professional journey by joining S. Nijalingappa Medical College and HSK Hospital, Bagalkot, as a Lecturer and started the Cytogenetics Laboratory. Since then, I have been serving as a Medical Geneticist and Cytogeneticist, offering diagnostic and counseling services to patients from various socio-economic backgrounds.

With a steadfast commitment to scientific excellence and social responsibility, I continue to dedicate my efforts toward the advancement of genetic diagnostics and the betterment of society.
