About

Dr. Uma Shankar is a seasoned academician, researcher, and global educator with over 26 years of experience in higher education across India, Africa, and the Middle East. Born in 1974 in T. B. Dam, Karnataka, India, his inspiring journey from humble beginnings reflects his commitment to academic excellence and ethical leadership.
He holds a Ph.D. in Management Science with a focus on Capital Markets, and has cleared top national academic qualifications including UGC-NET, AP-SET, and JNTUH-FET. He earned his MBA and M. Com from Sri Krishna Devaraya University, Andhra Pradesh. Currently, he is pursuing a Post-Doctoral Fellowship on Leadership in Higher Education from the Singapore Institute of Technology, State University, Singapore.
Dr. Uma Shankar has completed the PCP FAFM from IIM Kozhikode and Advanced Management Programme in FinTech and Financial Blockchain (AMPFFB), focusing on innovation in financial technologies.
He began his academic career as a lecturer at PVKK PG College, Anantapur, and later contributed as Assistant Professor at Dilla University (Ethiopia) and as Professor at Tishk International University and Catholic University in Erbil, Iraq. Presently, he serves as a faculty member at Ramcharan School of Leadership, MIT World Peace University, Pune.
His dedication has earned him prestigious accolades such as the Best Teacher Award and Acharya Seva Puraskar by the International Lions Club. In 2024, he authored Macroeconomics and Stock Performance, a practical guide on the link between macroeconomic trends and Indian stock markets.
Dr. Uma Shankar continues to inspire diverse student communities globally through his research, teaching, and advocacy for quality, ethical education.
