About
I, Dr. Divya K. Mishra, is working as Scientist at DST-Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences (DST-BSIP), Lucknow, India (June, 202- till date). I also have work experience as a NPDF-Postdoctoral Research Fellow at DST-BSIP, Lucknow, India (April, 2019-June, 2021). During my Postdoctoral fellowship I spent six months as Exchange visiting scientist at Eastern Energy Resources Science Center, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS-USA), Reston, Virginia, USA for my collaborative research project to understand the depositional conditions and maturation kinetics behind the immature Indian and North American Basin for hydrocarbon resource assessment.
I have completed doctoral research (Ph.D.) in 2018 from Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad, India (2013-2018). During doctoral work, I had carried out research on the geochemical and petrographical study on the Auranga basin shales, India. My research plan includes geochemical, petrographical, adsorption, accumulation and production conditions for coal and shale mainly for oil and gas generation. After Ph.D., I have also worked as Research Associate /Project Assistant at Non-conventional Gas Division, Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research, Dhanbad, India (2018-2019). In each role, I earned commendations for the quality of my research, including data collection, quantitative analysis, results interpretation and report preparation.
On the technical side, my postdoctoral/doctoral research analysis combines a wide range of experimental and lab techniques such as Hydrous Pyrolysis, organic Petrography, Rock-Eval pyrolysis, XRF, XRD, Sorption study, SEM with EDX, Isotope analysis (IRMS), optical and electron microscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, programmed pyrolysis, proximate analysis. I have extensive experience working with statistical/graphical analysis tools such as Corel, Minitab, Grapher, X'Pert High Score Plus, Origin, Microsoft word, Excel, Power point. My experience with experimental/lab techniques and thesis/research papers writing, as evident from the publications listed in my resume, help me develop and fine-tune the skills necessary for a full-time research position.
I am, post graduated (M.Sc.) in Geology from Vinoba Bhave University and graduation (B.Sc.) from St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi University, Ranchi, India. During my graduation and post-graduation I hold gold medalist position. I have gained solid background and practical skills, and a considerable understanding for
handling various domain areas in geology and petroleum exploration.
Thanks for your time.
