About
An Enviro-Chemical Researcher, MTech, PhD IIT Kharagpur; Post-Doctoral Research Scientist IIT M; Former Doctoral Research Scholar (Senior Research Fellow/Scientist) & National GATE Fellow MOE, GOI. An IIT KGP Graduate
I Subhrajit Mukherjee have successfully completed my PhD in Chemical Engineering (Atmospheric Sciences, Effects of Pollution on Human Health & Environmental Pollution Control or Emissions Control Strategies) from IIT KGP. I have currently worked in the field of Environmental Pollution Control as a Doctoral Research Scholar cum Senior Research Fellow & previously as a Junior Research Fellow under the keen guidance & supervision of Prof. Bhim Charan Meikap former HOD Department of Chemical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur from January 2018 to 2025.
My PhD Thesis mainly involved "Design&Development of Self-Priming Venturi Scrubber for Control of Atmospheric Pollutants." Primarily, I focused on in-depth study of several hazardous atmospheric pollutants for human life as well as environmental ecology. Additionally, the study reveals its related control using advancement or modifications of conventional control mechanism by incorporating hybrid prototypes along with numerous sustainable wayouts for ultimate remedy of clean environment.
I have successfully accomplished my MTech Degree Project as a GATE scholar in Chemical Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Gargi Das, former Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur. My co-supervisor was Prof. Subhabrata Ray at the same Department in IIT.
I had previously completed my Btech Project in Chemical Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Ashok Kumar Biswas Former Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur & Dr. Aditi Chatterjee (PhD- IIT Kharagpur & Post Doctoral Fellow- Cornell University).
