About
Mr. Neeraj Paliwal is a registered pharmacist from India. He began his professional career with a ‘Diploma in Pharmacy’ from BN College of Pharmacy, Udaipur (University of Rajasthan, India). Later, he pursued a ‘Bachelor of Pharmacy’ and ‘Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology’ from JSS College of Pharmacy, Ootacamund, India (The TN Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, India). With his interest in genetics and gene therapy, he further pursued a specialization program in medical genetics ‘Master of Science (Medical Science) in Medical Genetics’ from the Duncan Guthrie Institute of Medical Genetics, Glasgow (University of Glasgow, UK).
After working in academia and pharmaceutical industrial research domain for about 16 years in various capacities; he recently pursued his third postgraduate degree, ‘Master of Science in Molecular Medicine’, covered with an international full scholarship, at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, Cyprus to enhance knowledge and acquire advanced technical research skills of genetics and gene editing using CRISPR/Cas9 complex for therapy development.
He has effectively managed industrial secondary research undertakings dealing with major (Top 100) global pharmaceutical conglomerates. He has ~13 years of international academic work experience, including 9 years in Malaysia. He has been involved with academic and administrative activities, curriculum development, students’ research activities, supervising national and international undergraduate and postgraduate students, and professional articulation activities. He is a determined professional with a strong interest in investigating advances in medical sciences especially emerging and rare diseases, and creating advanced platforms for genetic/molecular therapeutic interventions.
