About
I am working as Chief Scientist and Nodal Chemical Engineering under Phytochemistry Division of CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow. I did my B.Tech in Chemical Engg, M. Tech in Biotechnology and PhD in Chemical Sciences. I haves almost 32 years’ experience in the area of processing & value addition of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants. My work area includes development, designing and up scaling of improved processing technologies for Natural Products, isolation and chemical transformation of essential oils & aroma chemicals for value added products & bioactive molecules and developing processing technologies for high value standardized extracts from medicinal plants and preparation of their bio active derivatives as drugs. I am also working on the designing of plants for distillation, solvent extraction and value addition of MAPs for the small scale cultivators, farmers, distillers, entrepreneurs and industries. I am part of almost 125 research papers and 15 international patents.
